Practice Director, Ralph Wheeler has 20 years experience designing a broad range of projects from masterplanning and concept design through to a full project delivery.
RWA is a full service architectural practice. Our scope includes initial concept design, reference schemes, masterplanning, detailed building design, landscapes, interiors, project management and delivery.
We demonstrate environmental concern and efficiency, without the need to compromise on contemporary form. Sustainable building and environment technologies are inherent in our work. March 2021 Update:
RWA completes the Masterplan for a new boutique stadium and training facility at Cranbourne East for soccer, rugby union and rugby league.
February 2021 Update:
RWA worked alongside Hassell Studio Architects to assist Qatar with their bid to host the Asian Games. The Asian Games Federation (AGF) confirmed Qatar have won the right to host the Games in 2030.
June 2020 Update:
RWA has been appointed by Brisbane Racing Club to develop a Masterplan for the Eagle Farm Racecourse Grandstand Precinct. The Masterplan will include major refurbishments to the existing grandstands and patron areas.
The UQ Health and Recreation Centre project finally resumes after a 3 month suspension of the design process due to COVID19.
March 2020 Update:
Melbourne Park's new Show Court Arena starts construction on site. When complete, RWA's design of the seating bowl will become the new benchmark for spectator sightlines and DDA compliance for this world leading sports precinct.
January 2020 Update:
RWA has been commissioned by Arts Centre Melbourne to assist with a major refurbishment of the iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
December 2019 Update:
RWA continues our collaboration with Hassell Studios Brisbane on the University of Queensland's latest ground breaking project. It will be the first integrated 'Health and Recreation Centre' of its kind in Australia with over 6500sqm of useable floor area with the flexibility to evolve with every-changing end user requirements.
September 2019 Update:
RWA have partnered with NH Architecture on the new AFLW upgrades to Casey Fields in Melbourne. This includes a significant refurbishment of the existing changerooms and the addition of new Strength and Conditioning Gym as well as a new Indoor Training Facility.
February 2019 Update:
Following our previous successful collaboration on the Melbourne Park Masterplan for Stage 3, RWA have teamed up with NH Architecture + Snøhetta to design the much anticipated Show Court Arena, a 5000 seat open air arena in the heart of Melbourne Park's iconic sports and entertainment precinct.
