RWA are currently working alongside local architects Aspect and Brisbane based practice Marchese Partners to lead the design of a significant expansion to the existing regional stadium precinct on the Sunshine Coast. The redevelopment will involve increasing the stadium's seated capacity to almost 12,000 seats for rugby league, rugby union and soccer as well as concerts, festivals and other community events. The existing West Stand will undergo a substantial refurbishment and will be extended both north and south along the touch line while a brand new East Stand with PTFE roof will be dedicated to general admission spectators.

The 28-hectare Woodward Park on the CBD south fringe is a significant public space currently hosting a range of sports, education, community, and recreation facilities. The Council’s vision is to transform the park into an iconic lifestyle precinct for the thriving community of Liverpool. The update initiated in 2022 focused on revising the 2020 masterplan layout to incorporate a number of alternative sport and entertainment building typologies. This included incorporating associated facilities to maximise utilisation by the community and other potential lessees. Appropriate project scope and cost parameters needed to be developed for Liverpool City Council and other relevant project stakeholder’s evaluation. RWA developed the public space integration strategy and concept architectural plans for three proposed options of major publlic facilities, which included 20,000-seat rectangular stadium, 10,000-seat indoor sports arena, and regional convention & exhibition centre.

This Masterplan document is part of City of Casey’s forward vision for the phased development which will include an evaluation process of the existing facilities and an assessment of the ongoing operational requirements of the Casey Fields AFL Precinct during match days and non-event days. The redevelopment will improve the safety and comfort of patrons and promote Casey Fields as an AFL venue and major local community facility for local football leagues and other major outdoor events. As a Category 2 venue, Casey Fields will be used for three or more regular season AFL home & away matches each year as well as regular AFLW matches. This will require upgrades to spectators, players, officials and media facilities. When the Masterplan is complete the venue will have a capacity of 15,000 spectators.

As a founding document to the construction of award winning Metricon Stadium, the masterplan investigated how a new 25,000 seat stadium could be built on the underutilised Carrara Stadium site. The masterplan envisaged that the stadium could be built in a series of construction stages to achieve the redevelopment objectives and anticipated funding allocation. A important part of the masterplan yet to be built is the creation of a permanent public transport interchange to encourage use of event day bus and train services. This includes a pedestrian bridge over the adjacent road to shuttle bus connections between the stadium and the nearby Nerang train station and Surfers Paradise.

The first stage of the Eureka Stadium Masterplan is to upgrade the existing stadium to a boutique AFL venue and major local community facility for local football leagues and other major outdoor events. The masterplan includes a high level audit of the existing facilities for compliance with minimum AFL standards for a Category 3 venue capable of hosting up to three regular season home & away matches. It includes upgrades to spectators, players, officials and media facilities. Two further construction stages will increase the seating capacity to 13,000 spectators and provide full roof coverage to all seating tiers.
